 Autism is very real, and life-changing to the families and friends who love an autistic child or adult.
Karen Kingsbury wrote the book Unlocked (linked to my review) after seeing for herself a teenager who came  out of the shell of autism.  (She included her personal experience in the Reader Letter at the end of the book.)
This book was wonderful, and I highly recommend it for a peek into the difficult world of autism.
Even if you have already read this book, consider entering anyway to give it to a friend who is facing the challenge of raising a special needs child.  The book does not sugar-coat autism, but it does offer hope.
