With black and white illustrations and charts scattered throughout, this is an inviting and easy read. No topic is studied deeply, but many topics are included. It gives a basic overview of the earth's geography. Some children as young as seven would really enjoy this, though it is not likely going to be a resource for adults. (Nor is it intended for adults. It is a reference book for children.) I can imagine a child sitting in the backseat on a car trip enlightening his or her family with fun facts from I Wish I knew That: Geography because it really does include Cool Stuff You Need to Know. With its short passages, it could also be good bathroom reading...or a gift for a teacher. I'd like a bit more content, but it is a good book that kids would enjoy.
